I first met the inspirational #LarchMaxey in 2011 as a co-founder of the #EcologicalLandCooperative, to whose land I moved with #MarkBoyle, and which I eventually chaired.

By then Larch had already co-founded the inspirational #Lammas ecovillage. He then went on to help set up #ExtinctionRebellion & #JustStopOil, before 9 months in prison for disruption to tankers at Britain's biggest oil terminal.

I'm horrified to hear that after killing #SchumacherCollege (my blog post about that here: https://www.darkoptimism.org/2024/08/31/death-and-rebirth-farewell-dear-schumacher-college-hello-new-friends/ ) the #DartingtonHallTrust is now looking to evict #MartinCrawford and uproot the finest forest garden in the temperate world; a place that was a personal inspiration to #MarkBoyle and me.

Needless to say, such places cannot quickly be moved or restored.
