I’ve been looking at the #Ferrari+#LoveFrom #Luce interior many, many times, trying to allow the design to make sense, and…I can’t. I just can’t.

The rounded-rect binnacle, the rounded-rect handle on the rounded-rect swivel display, the rounded triangular steering wheel switchgear, the round vents with the silly openings…they look static and sterile. Sure, you have more physical controls, but the design fundamentally look like TABLETS BOLTED ON CARS.

The fact that LoveFrom *celebrates* the idea that each component feels like a separate product is ironic, because that’s why they feel jarring. There are hard, rounded-cornered boundaries between the car itself, and the displays and controls, and nothing flows past those boundaries.

I’m really trying to like this design, but I can’t. Although LoveFrom claims they studied the history of Ferrari, they seem to have taken Ferrari’s sensuality and emotions completely out of their design.
