People often ask me (literally no one has ever asked me this), why do #lethargic and #Lothario sound the same?
Well, I'll have to take you back. The year was 1514 and there was a small Italian town called Piccola città and in that town just off of strada maestra lived a boy. Long story short, he didn't like doing stuff, he was disillusioned. He would spend his days telling the women of the town that he wasn't interested in material things like the rest of the men in the world, he was interested in their presence, in their time, in their soul. Sadly for him, he grew up ugly and so his sweet whisperings meant nothing. But he was good with his hands and it earned him a living, so he snagged a wife and had a son. The son was named Luther and he got his mother's looks and his father's tongue. He spent his days going from bedroom to bedroom of the women in the town and when asked to do anything he would make an excuse. His favourite being that he had come down with Guancia lontana, the famous ailment of the time that loosely translates as Far Cheek. It wasn't until years later when a bard passed through the town and heard of Lou Far Cheek. He was so impressed that he made a song about his exploits and how he made a generation of women feel like they were on holiday in Rio. The bard, sang songs of Lou Far Cheek and Luther Rio and and the further he got from the town, they became lethargic and Lothario, two words that have stuck around until this day.
