An amateur metal detectorist is looking back to some of his exciting finds in this UK article. A find of a Roman coin in the 1990s led to the discovery of a Roman villa estate complete with two bath houses and mosaic floors. Later he was to find an Anglo-Saxon sword in a nearby field to the villa, which still had a hand attached to it.
