I stopped at another McDonald's near #UW -- this time was to get a Happy Meal toy for my daughter. Too bad I couldn't get the strawberry cat she wants. Then it's light rail all the way back where I started!

I used to run 20+mi every #longRunSunday. But since multiple #running accidents early this year I haven't done much. My plan is to get the regular rhythm back before September race season: I have one HM and 2 #Marathon races lining up all the way to November!

This #LongRunSunday I started extending my range to 20mi, #running from Marymoor Light Rail Station in Redmond to somewhere near #UW! My moving time was 3:14:21 pace 9’43"/mi.

I stopped at 12mi mark at McDonald's to get my usual β€” iced coffee and apple pie. I also stopped at random places for photo. Weather was 59F with clouds, wind ~4mph. Super nice weather!

And forgot to say: happy summer and happy father's day!

All told, the damage done was 14.40mi with moving time 2:28:23 pace 10'18"/mi, and EG 1,269ft! And I closed this week with the highest mileage and EG year-to-date: 69.45mi and 3,793ft!

But who cares -- those beautiful sights are now part of my happy memories! πŸ™‚

But what do you know runners? Next moment, you realize you're deep in the woods, and the weather and the world was just too wonderful to stop! I ended up running into Redmond Watershed Preserve, which I never properly ran through before. So this time I did!

This #LongRunSunday I ran an accidental HM, and it’d be my #84!

My goal was to just run 10mi, because I already ran ~14mi two days ago to #Alki beach, and 7mi yesterday including my #103 #Parkrun. Plan was simple: 4mi run to a nearby McDonald's to get my ice cream and iced coffee fix, and then wandered around until I hit 10mi!

This #LongRunSunday I ran my #82 HM on East Sammamish Lake Trail: distance 14mi, moving time 2:11:12, pace 9’22”/mi.

There's a heat advisory and by the time I finished it felt like 80F. And no wind (0.2mph). I brought my usual 8oz eletrolyte and 2 gels and consumed them all.

(but I should feel lucky because much of the world is suffering from even higher temperature)

There was a trail closure at 3.9mi and I had to detour to road for .5mi and came back.

This week's #Parkrun is a long story: two days ago I wanted to explore the south side of #Seattle. As I just started running into the industrial district, I tripped over on the sidewalk. This is the first time I fell w/o any anticipation - I was in a zone and only realized I fell after I hit the ground! With bloody knees I still managed to finish 6.4mi.

But my swollen knees today prevented me from #running -- so I only walked 5K. 😒

I shall come back tomorrow for #LongRunSunday!

Towards the end I sped up a little: the last 3 miles were sub-9’.

The entire time I was feasting on a gorgeous light show orchestrated by Mother Nature. I can never get tired of it!
