Entre 2022 y 2025, la Sociedad Constructora J.J.A. Limitada ha recibido más de $670 millones en contratos con la Municipalidad de Lolol, periodo en el que una funcionaria del municipio era hermana de uno de los socios de la empresa. En diciembre de 2023 entró en vigencia el artículo 35 quáter de la Ley de Compras Públicas, que prohíbe al Estado contratar con funcionarios públicos o sus familiares hasta el segundo grado de consanguinidad o afinidad, por lo que los convenios previos a esa fecha no estarían cuestionados. Sin embargo, en marzo de 2025, la empresa volvió a ser adjudicada para la mantención de áreas verdes, contrato mediante el cual ha percibido hasta ahora más de $117 millones.
