Dyeing Part 2 of 3: We had some blanks left, so I continued to play at home using natural dyes.
Top left: Gaywool Watercrest overdyed with calendula; middle left: logwood. Bottom Left: I tried to make an indigo vat but was too impatient. I overdyed the 4ply indogo (bottom left) with logwood, interesting reaction.
Right: closeups of logwood on 4ply (top) and logwood (bottom).
Getting some Logwood fabric ready to restock the shop. This is one of my favorite colors. We'll see how this batch turns out in a couple of days. As a natural dye, there is a lot more variation between batches than you see in chemical dye techniques.
Logwood is a beautiful marbled purple fabric dyed with 100% natural materials. Available in Aida, Evenweave, and linen!
