Someone asked me if, as a tech worker, I didn't worry that speaking out against #Facebook might be a "career-limiting move".

This person didn't know I quit my last job when they started a bulk/national mobile data surveillance system without citizens' knowledge. 😆

If you have privilege, use it.

Today we’re making signing up on Mastodon easier than ever before. We understand that deciding which Mastodon service provider to kick off your experience with can be confusing. We know this is a completely new concept for many people, since traditionally the platform and the service provider are one and the same. This choice is what makes Mastodon different from existing social networks, but it also presents a unique onboarding challenge. (3/3) Well, our bubble was effectively burst and now we actively research races and issues around the US and support candidates in swing states. We do national #GetOutTheVote activities. Some days it’s demoralizing, but the alternative is unthinkable. What’s your experience? Were/are you in a political bubble? How are you handling it?
