Letter G. I’ve learned that while I can do pretty straight lines without a ruler, when it comes to lettering & calligraphy, I resist it. A lettering & calligraphy tool in my hand equals to organic & flowing lines. It’s like my default. I’ll need to intentionally aim for channeling that default to expand my visual vocabulary. #letter_g #letteringpattern #almahoffmannletters #almahoffmannlettering #almahoffmann
I try to do these letters way too fast. Well, not that I try. It is like my default. I have to make myself go slower. That is what makes these exercises so valuable. You learn about your patterns. #letter_e #letteringpattern #almahoffmannlettering #almahoffmannletters #almahoffmann
I think I need actual calligraphic guides. That’s like duh! But my pad is mixed media paper on the thick side because I was afraid the ink would bleed on lighter paper. But my letters aren’t consistent. Sad face. Benedict to find a way to fix this. #letter_d #letteringpattern #almahoffmannlettering #almahoffmannletters #almahoffmann
Letter C. This looks easier than it is. Hard to keep the consistency of the letters and that is important. So, I will be working on that. #letteringpattern #letter_c #almahoffmannlettering #almahoffmannletters #almahoffmann
