For #TravelThursday here's part of the charming medieval commune of Les Baux-de-Provence, a strategically important stronghold in southern France over the centuries with evidence of occupation from as early as 6000 BCE. The ore bauxite was discovered here in 1821 and mined to exhaustion by the end of the 20th century.
