Might have been running Runeterra again for about a week or so because a new runner showed up and beat all my former World Records that were played on the normal animation speed.
For about a year now you've been able to change the animation speed, making it up to 4 times as fast, but no one actually ran the game again up til now. I did two runs on 4x animation speed half a year ago, but got bored because there was no one to compete against. I was also not going to split the boards into animation speed categories - there aren't enough runners for that, so I just beat the faster times again now.

Shoutout to my dear friend ktc who reminded me to check if I had Runeterra installed on my SSD. I've been unknowingly handicapping myself due to running on the wrong hardware. 🥴

Of course I had to take a look at Riftbound because I've been playing League since 2011 and I'm a big fan of card games - which is why I loved Legends of Runeterra.

Now, I thought the footage I had seen so far was old, or showing off prototypes, but Riot is really just recycling Runeterra cards, Arcane stills and League splash arts for Riftbound.

That's genuinely disappointing. Most of them are literally just Runeterra cards, which is the game they've basically killed.

I'm a mix of sad, frustrated and.. well, not super surprised. It doesn't feel good.

My second attempt at this painting came out much better than the first! I used better paper and paints, though I'm sure the paper made the most difference.

I appreciate any feedback. I'm not sure if I'm done or if there's more I can do to make this better. May go back with white acrylic?

Check out that comparison!! Tape tore the paper on the first one so I painted over it.

I like my sketches and I'm afraid I'll screw them up when I start painting. This is why I sketch on regular paper and trace onto watercolor paper to paint. At least if I mess up, I can try again.
