I ended up watching exactly 4 movies since last Friday with 2 being on UHD Bluray & the other 2 being on regular Bluray; I might watch a movie tonight but unsure so thought why not just get done with posting reviews as they’re already running late as is & also post my last watched list along with it & catch up on posting everything

Yes, like everybody else, I almost forgot “I’ll Do Anything”.

And I might be ready to defend “Spanglish”.

Another week with only 1 movie. Lazy start to the year.

• Past Lives •
I’ve watched this while flying over Atlantic. My teardrops would mix with the ocean if I was in a Boeing 737 Max. Wasn’t expecting it to hit this hard. A simple story written, directed and acted so well. Can’t say anything more without spoilers.

I’m on the move so another week goes with only one movie. Next one can even be a no-movie week but I’ll compensate after the holidays.

• I Am Jonas (2018)
Sad, sad story. Kind of scary, too. Although I found it a bit unconvincing at times, especially in the younger Jonas storyline, the movie keeps you hooked for its ~80 minutes run. Also, Félix Maritaud and his ears are nice to watch.

Only one movie this week.

• In & Out •
90s rom-com style coming out comedy with a spectacular solo dance by Kevin Kline and a moustacheless Tom Selleck. Seeing a young Lauren Ambrose a few years before Six Feet Under was a nice surprise. Lots of funny catch-phrases. The movie inside the movie, which Matt Dillon’s character wins a fictional oscar, was a sarcastically accurate way of showing representation of gay characters in Hollywood.

This week I’ve only watched one movie, and it’s this.

TINA (2021)

Tina Turner overcame impossible odds to become one of the first female Black artists to reach a mainstream international audience. Her road to superstardom is an undeniable story of triumph over adversity. It’s the ultimate story of survival – and an inspirational story of our times.

Last 4 films I saw at the cinema. Appropriately for November they're all about death.
