Six months or so ago we were visited regularly by a couple of fledgling kookaburras. Haven't seen them a while but that's okay because we had a couple of fledgling butcher birds visit after that.

The butcher birds have moved on but these two appeared today. Old friends? They are only a couple of metres away and they can clearly see me through the glass but they don't seem to mind.

There's a fish tank right below them but if these are my old friends, they know there's no way in

Our morning visitor decided to check out the fish tank for the first time. A couple of light taps on the glass. The fish didn't seem too fussed but I'm wondering how tough that glass is.

And I'm pretty sure it knows I'm keeping an eye on it
