A Tawny Frogmouth landed on my balcony handrail a couple of evenings ago. I tried to get a photo, but, while it was happy for me to look, it saw the camera as a threat and flew off. So here's an older photo!

Robin Hood is alive and well - the keeper had just thrown some mealworms for the Lyrebirds at Healesville Sanctuary - when this Eastern Yellow Robin flew in and stole one!

Thanks to @didoesdigital and @andrewrock for encouraging me to go on the walk from Burtons Well to Mt Kiangarow in the #BunyaMountains #Australia

This side of the mountains has no Bunya pines, but many grass trees. I hope you love them as much as I do :)

We had perfect weather (it's been 90% gorgeous all week), but the heel I wore raw on Sunday made even this very easy walk difficult.* Glad I persisted but spouse had to do the 6k walk from Burtons Well to Cherry Plain on his own

*I've ordered heel liners for this damn shoe so next time, I can do all the things

Our neighbour in the Bunyas made the mistake of exclaiming over the lack of wind of late, so nature got her own back and, after a beautiful Friday, the weekend has been very very blowy.

But I knew the forest would be more peaceful so we did the Scenic trail in the NP. We have owned a place up here for nine years and this is the *first* time I have managed to do one of the park walks (because of bad weather, bad knees, too much to do etc).

It was tough because I am so unfit, but utterly glorious.
