A few days ago, it was announced that #KomodoIDE was open-sourced https://news.itsfoss.com/komodo-ide-open-source/ - It was a privative/commercial product exemplifying usage of #MPL license along fully free Komodo Edit version. I was a happy user for many years, only to move first to #Atom and more recently to #Vscode as my main IDE platform.

Unfortunately, Komodo IDE is now Open Source!

ActiveState is retiring and open-sourcing Komodo IDE: https://www.activestate.com/blog/activestate-komodo-ide-now-open-source/

It was a great piece of software. I used it on and off when I worked there, but it wasn't ideal for sysadmin work -- it was excellent for web dev, though. Its integration with ActivePerl and the PDK was my usual focus with it.
