Blurry Hover Fly (Melangyna viridiceps) on a Dandelion flower.

I was setup at minimum focus distance, so the fly landing afterwards makes it too close to focus on. Oops.

Camp "B".

Echidnas come in 2 varieties:
A - those very far away and tiny.
B - those that are completely unaware of your existence and consequently walk right up to you, so close you can barely focus.

This was the "B" variety.

This Noisy Miner wasn't into sharing with a Black Cockatoo.

Focus is wanting as it happened so fast.

I liked the 2nd shot for the extreme turn the Miner is performing - I was half expecting to see a vapour trail at the wing edges.
