#London #JubileeLine
A rabbithole for friday:
Jubilee line of the London Underground makes some really scary noises when passing through the tunnels.
I was ready for the apocalypse when I heard them first time. But TfL chaps are smart, Jubilee is also the only line that uses trains with tyristor engines which sound beautiful, but it also makes searching for the tunnel noises almost impossible.
Well, this video has both:

Due to minimum order quantities, I have 7 spare ESP32 PCBs which are designed to go inside a Jubilee Line button - the ones the London Transport Museum were selling a few years ago.
The PCB design was kindly made available by Will Furnell: https://github.com/willfurnell/jubilee-button-pcb
The boards have been competently assembled and I can confirm work excellently. Will has some code for Hue; mine just calls some webhooks 👀
If you want one, they cost about £14 to produce.
