Yesterday I visited Keys Ranch, a 1910 homestead nestled in the heart of Joshua Tree National Park and only accessible via a guided tour.
The ranger said that Bill Keys, when he was nearing the end of his life and knew that the homestead would become a site for tours, purposefully arranged his possessions in a way that would tell his story.
Isnβt that what we all hope for? Not just for our story to be told, but for the ability to shape our narrative.
Iβm so happy we moved to the high desert. I rolled out of bed and within 10 minutes I was on this trail. Saw hawks, lizards, quail, clusters of wildflowers. A good morning indeed.
