Second stop: a ridiculous band at the Vanguard this week and it totally exceeded my expectations. Drummer Johnathan Blake backed by two best-in-class tenor players in Chris Potter and Mark Turner, plus bassist Ben Street. Possibly the best playing I've seen from all four of them and the double sax was quite inventive. Killer all around.
