Life is proceeding quite pleasantly at the moment! Temperatures have been low and snowfall has been high, making for crappy driving and beautiful landscapes. Bestie and I walk and consume coffee and baked goods on Thursday mornings.

I jettisoned the coat I started last week (energy too scarce to waste on a project that doesn’t excite me), and redirected attention to the water-resistant, bonded houndstooth wool, but with a ‘simple’ cape pattern (new look, N6768).

Yes. I primarily sew because #pockets! Everything I sew has pockets and I've gone back and added 5x7" pockets to my knit garments with black jersey that I have on hand. On woven garments, I typically cut out 8x8" for the pockets so I can lay a phone in sideways (more secure. Placement of the pockets is important, as is depth so I keep experimenting with locations that will hold valuables secure when sitting or standing.
