In an attempt to make things easier, Atlassian's JIRA does not always unfold checklists in tickets. You discover this by scrolling down to find the info that the checklist is not unfolded, after which you simply scroll all the way back up to click a button to open the checklist.

But then you click the button immediately!, you say.

Yes. Which may mean you actually fold up the checklist in case it was unfolded.
