The power button in iOS/iPad Control Center is very helpful rather than needing to recall the button gymnastics required to power down.

This comes in very handy when I need to restart my iPad every few days as the OS 26 gremlins run amuck and things just stop working.

Apple, you tell me that you can't join a wifi network. Is the PSK incorrect? perhaps there's an incompatibility between the iOS device and the wap's channel distribution or...

Where's the debug log, huh? Why is Apple obsessed with treating its users like they're all technologically incompetent fools? Just give me one error code or something—anything useful with which I can solve the likely very simple problem.
