An iron access cover produced by the Oak Foundry which was based at 40 Black Street in Glasgow in the 1880s.

This is not a foundry I'm familiar with and I haven't been able to find out much about it, other than the fact the owners were sued by the famous Macfarlaine and Co Saracen foundry in 1883 for infringement of copyright over the production of an illustrated catalogue of architectural ironwork.
