I read that it was set on a council estate in #Wolverhampton in the 1990s, and I was expecting #HowToBuildAGirl (2019) to be a lot darker than it turned out to be.
I initially thought that the Wolverhampton accent wasn't much cop; until I read that the actor was a 20-something American, and flip-flopped to being impressed at how good it was compared to some Americans's attempts at U.K. accents.
The people who did the credits tried hard, but typewriters didn't have distinct em-dashes and hyphens at different heights, nor mid-dots. Retroactive #Unicode showed through a bit. (-:
But the craziest part of the credits is that this is the first time that I've ever seen #Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council acknowledged in a movie's credits.
Amusing too to see that the credits could only use real names for the dead people on the wall, and 'Snow Pixie' is not dead.

I am unsurprised by the fact that there's no hashtag for #camping in #Wolverhampton.
All of the campers head for either #Perton or #Dudley. #BrierleyHill for the upscale campers.
Obviously.
Of course tourists don't know about these off-the-beaten-track camp grounds.

Son of the Duke of Northumberland, brother of Guildford Dudley, his glittering rise ended with Lady Jane Grey’s fall.
On this day in Tudor history, 21st October 1554, John Dudley, 2nd Earl of Warwick, died at Penshurst in Kent, the home of his brother-in-law, where he was under house arrest. Warwick had only just been released from the Tower of London. He was the son of John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland, and brother of Guildford Dudley, both of whom were executed for their parts in the succession crisis of 1553, which saw Guildford's wife, Lady Jane Grey, becoming queen for thirteen days. Find out more about Warwick, whose rise had seem assured until that July...
