U.S. President Donald Trump admitted on Sunday that his government sent weapons to Iranian opposition protesters in violent protests earlier this year in the hope of fomenting an uprising against the country's clerical establishment.

In this context, Trump told Fox News that, at one point, he ordered the shipment of weapons to protesters through the Kurdish-Iranian opposition in the west of the country.

## "A lot of weapons that we sent through the Kurds," the US president said in a decision that was ultimately unsuccessful.

The Mizan news agency, affiliated with the IRI's judiciary, announced this morning, April 2nd, that the death sentence for Amir Hossein Hatami was carried out.

He was one of those participants of Jan 8-9 riots and attacked a police station "in order to take some weapons to fight the regime" he said during interrogation. Several police and security forces were killed or burned alive during the attacks.
