Another installment in my international cookies sampling saga.

The digestives and the Gioia butter cookies we've had before and are good. The former are from India and the latter Italian. The Dutch coffee-waffle cookies are intriguing and the nutty ones are from Pakistan.

Some additional international #cookies from today's brief grocery shop, for my on-going world-cookie exploration

These from Poland and Italy.

I periodically rant (sorry long-time followers) about how someone visiting Europe means for me a chance to get some PickUps back with them!

They've made me a bit of a connoisseur of this style of cookie as I've been unable to find anything remotely close after searching for _many_ years. They're unavailable in North America.

How are they unique? It's a perfect balance between crisp butter-cookie wafers and thick, tempered chocolate slab between them.

Latest addition to the international cookie sampling, are a chocolate-hazelnut sandwich cookie from Turkey, and yet another #DigestiveBiscuit from India, where they make pretty decent digestives. Results from all those years of British occupation no doubt.

Both are good, though I tend to compare all chocolate-sandwich cookies to the Bahlsen Pick-Ups which are a precisely perfect cookie (but sadly not available in North America).

Forgive me for all my sudden old-post edits! You might be getting a flurry of notifications from me if you interacted with me on the topic of #cookies in the past.

I just went through all my old international-cookie-sampling toots and added a common hashtag.

I didn't realize I had a pretty good sampling going here already, so I might as well link them all together!

Walked to a nearby halal butcher I wanted to try. Small operation w/ a few staples too. Picked up a few things to support local, including these items. Maamoul are a favourite treat for me, but it's hard to find packaged ones that are a) very good and b) not from Saudi Arabia. These are from Egypt, so giving them a try.

The hummus-in-a-can I haven't tried before – I always make my own from scratch. Product of Lebanon so thought it worth a try.

Love trying diverse international cookies. Esp when they're inexpensive.

Here are two "Parle" brand Kreams. By spelling it with a 'K' they don't have to use any actual dairy products, I assume. 69 cents a pack. Surprised the chocolate ones are from Mexico and the cardamom ones, India.

The Tunnocks caramel-chocolate biscuits I hadn't tried before. That's Tunnocks of tea-cakes fame, from Scotland of course. Gotta say – I like these even more than the tea cakes!

About to sample this gift, #durian flavoured wafer cookies. Looks intriguing.

In my on-going series of trying (unknown to me) international cookie products, we picked up these ones this morning from a local middle-eastern shop.
