TwoWay acoustic desk organiser by Impact Acoustic

Dezeen Showroom: Impact Acoustic's versatile TwoWay desk organiser is made of sound-absorbing felt and can be easily carried and stored away at the end of a workday.

The TwoWay desk organiser can be used lying down to function as a tray

The organiser can be relocated without disturbing its contents, with sections large enough to hold laptops, cables, pens, notebooks and other workday essentials.

TwoWay is made from Impact Acoustic's Archisonic material, which consists of recycled PET bottles and comes in 28 colours.

The Archisonic material is made from recycled plastic bottles

The desk accessory is made in Switzerland in collaboration with a workshop employing disabled workers.

Helios acoustic room divider by Jeffrey Ibañez for Impact Acoustic

Dezeen Showroom: Filipino designer Jeffrey Ibañez has created Helios, an acoustic panel that doubles up as a room divider, for Swiss brand Impact Acoustic.

Helios features colourful circular acoustic panels mounted to a thin wire frame and can be used for zoning open-plan workspaces.

The Helios divider features circular acoustic panels

The design was informed by the Delaunay triangulation, which in geometry describes a particular way of joining points to create a triangular mesh.

According to Ibañez, he chose to incorporate this geometry into the product because it is said to have a calming effect on humans.

Helios is available in a variety of colourways and aims to provide calm and privacy within workspaces.

Fylo acoustic panels by Impact Acoustic

Dezeen Showroom: acoustic panels of two different thicknesses are combined to form Fylo, a multidimensional wall cladding by Swiss brand Impact Acoustics.

Fylo is made from a proprietary material called Archisonic, which looks and feels like felt but is made from recycled plastic bottles.

To create the cladding, two versions of this material – the standard 12-millimetre kind and a high-performance 24-millimetre variant – are layered on top of each other to create a dynamic, almost sculptural effect while helping to better absorb sound.

Fylo cladding is made from acoustic panels of two different thicknesses

The panels are available in a tightly curated palette of 26 colours, created in collaboration with trend forecasters Colour Hive.

"Fylo is a design that transcends boundaries," said Impact Acoustics. "It can be used in offices, living rooms, hotels or even a hospital."

Previously, the brand has presented a range of soundproof booths called Chatpods on Dezeen Showroom that are made from upcycled materials and can be fully recycled at the end of their life.
