I'm Working on color thumbnails for a comic book cover. A question came up in the chat about how to go about using reference for creature design. My method is using mood boards for inspiration while sketching, then more focused images for calling out textures/details when refining a sketch.

Been 'playing' (read: collecting references) a few space games recently. There are many cool hard surface designs in Elite Dangerous. I especially love this entrance from landing pad to fleet carrier. Bravo to the artist who made it!
