Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, but as christmas gets earlier and earlier I just end up hating this time of year.

... And I feel as depressed as hell having to take every conceivable action to avoid crowds, noise, and the hustle & bustle of Christmas as much as possible.

A ★ review of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964)
This has been a holiday tradition for me from back in the only 4 TV channels '70s days when KITV used to air it late night. Martian society has become stagnant and rigid. Children only find relief by watching Earth television. The solution? Kidnap Santa Claus! A couple of annoying human kids are also dragged along. Meanwhile. an anti-Santa faction on Mars wants to kidnap the kidnapped Santa. This gained even more cult film cred when people realized that 8 year old Pia Zadora (infamous for BUTTERFLY, beloved for HAIRSPRAY) was the Martian girl. Don't know which costume is worse:
