Latest on the Dallas Goedert situation:

** I think the Eagles would like to trade Goedert if they can get good value. The issue might be Goedert’s value around the league is not as high as expected.

** Goedert only has one year left on his deal so I’d expect he wants a new contract. His agent likely has been looking around to see who would pay Goedert more than the Eagles are willing to.

** I think this probably ends in a split. I wouldn’t completely rule out a release.

** The only chance I think Goedert comes back is if he takes a paycut with the Eagles rather than go to a different team for the same money the Eagles are willing to pay him.

** According to OTC the Eagles would lose $9m in cap space if Goedert is traded pre-June 1st. That’s a good portion of their remaining cap space. I’d imagine they could work around that (#Howie) but if not that is a big reason to not trade him for a low-round pick. They save $4m if it is post-June 1st.
