On the corner of Linnaeusparkweg and Hogeweg you can find a fountain with history. The first one stood here in 1900 but disappeared in the 1930s when cars took over. ⛲️🚗🚗🚗🚗

In 2007 a new modern fountain was unveiled. Its rising water streams in line with the Rembrandt Tower down the street.

The fountain has smart sensors that shut it off when it’s too windy or freezing. ❄️

Today it’s a little oasis: shady trees, benches, and the sound of water.

Het voormalige V&D warenhuis aan de 1e Hogeweg 19 gaat binnenkort een nieuwe toekomst tegemoet. Op deze locatie worden straks ongeveer 175 huurwoningen (sociaal en middelduur) gebouwd, verdeeld over vier losse gebouwen. De toekomstige woningen worden eigendom van woningcorporatie Woongoed Zeist.
