As the official Lantern Rouge no less and with a hero’s welcome during the Finishers Party. Can’t wish for a more emotional arrival. As you can see it’s quite the joyful moment. Every finish of an ultracycling event is special. Some more lowkey as others. But none of it is ever a given. Therefore it’s not only in this moment but always thereafter a source of satisfation, achievement but also always fondness. There is hardly an event so far I’m not looking back fondly to the overarching experiences. With the course, with the region, with myself and with my fellow participants. And having been able to make those experiences. So thank you, dear race and event organizers.
