This is why I find #Stalkerware like all those "#Kids #Smartwatch" devices to be bad, because ALL OF THEM are just applianced Stalkerware and NONE of the vendors properly disclose that this is basically illegal in every juristiction without prior, informed and signed consent of the wearer which unter-16 cannot give at all in places like #Germany (as #BDSG is way harsher than #COPPA)…

  • Cuz there are "#StupidPhones" and non-Kids "#Smartwatches" that can facilitate the "Where are you?" - call which cost less and ain't a legal issue.

After #HelicopterParents, there are now #AirTagParents.

Not sure whether or not this use case is worse than #FindMyEx. Both rely on many people willingly becoming part of the #StalkerSupport network.

or #rationalism
or #renewableenergy #solar
Learned about a Silicon Valley tech exec who bought a flat in Berkeley so they have a place to stay when they visit their kid at university on weekends. Housing crisis? What housing crises? Also, #helicopterParents.
