Thursday 5 February I will be at Slöjdtorget at Folk och Kultur in Eskilstuna!
There I will sit and carve, talk about rigid heddles and show how I make them from scratch. If you are curious about carving, wood or the craft tradition behind these heddles, you are most welcome to come by and ask questions.
Of course I will bring some heddles with me if you want to take a closer look at some of the ones I have made.

Admission to the fair is free and there is lots to see and experience. Hope to see you!

Last week, I travelled down to the Sjuhärad region to deliver these heddles to Vävkompaniet and visit Åke Erlandsson, who has been making heddles for them for many years. It was awesome to see some of the heddles he's made and his workshop, where he has crafted several hundreds of them.

Here is a heddle called "Sommar". I made the heddle in birch and painted it with linseed oil paint.

This heddle was a side project for almost a year and it feelt good to finally have it finished, the mountain of unfinished items is shrinking or maybe not🤔
