In my opinion runing an HDZero (and also analog) receiver without an antenna is no problem.
- Because both do not send any signal from the receiver back to VTX. And only sending has some risk to grill the senders amplifier when done without antenna.
- Quite often I do not have top antennas connected when I do benchtesting with my HDZero goggles 1. And I don't have issue so far.

From what I have red or seen it uses the signal from all 4 antenna ports. This is true for analog and HDZero.
If only one antenna is installed, or will use this port mainly, due to the weak signal of other ports.
