Here's another, have we done Terrence Malick's The New World? #hatm
Hey #hatm have we done Matewan about the WV coal battles? I'm reading a book on movies and American History, so expect more of these to come, haha
FWIW, everyone, here's a critique of the movie by an Indian, pointing out some of the tropes, etc. #hatm thewire.in/film/kesari-...

Thanks for another great watch party, everyone. And thank you, @[email protected] for picking such a good variety of films to keep it real. I really enjoyed this one. Have a great week everyone, and don't forget to break out into spontaneous dance on Wednesday or Thursday. #hatm
Ah! The plant blooming at the end! See, life goes on! You know what, I really love this movie. I don't know that I've watched any other like it. #hatm
Sikhs do believe in an afterlife, through reincarnation based on karma (similar to Hindus in this way?) until they ultimately reach oneness with the divine. I only mention that as they show all these bodies. Like Saving Private Ryan at the gravestone at the end, death is not the final say. #hatm
What are we to make of this final single combat scene with the green troop (I forget his name), that he's the last one to die, not Singh? #hatm
Their names scratched onto the wall. They are dead, but their names live on. We make too much of soldiers in that way, but also... it's true. #hatm
Pretty good grenadiers, really. #HATM
Oh man, his seeing Jeeveni at he dies, standing among his enemies. 😭 Do you see how she is a swath of blue amidst all the brown and black? That's good film making. #hatm
