KimSorting out the race files for the first British Human Power Club meet of the 2026 season at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit on Saturday. Good to see a decent number of arm-powered entries, and people who haven't raced with us before.
Hopefully it'll stay dry enough that I don't end up riding blind and come off the track at a random tangent like I did last time...

The 2026 British Human Power Club race meet calendar is now complete:

Note that due to the high entry fee and limited numbers the Derby Velodrome event is unofficial, and will not earn championship points. It's a rare opportunity to ride something other than a conventional track bike on an indoor velodrome.
After the popularity of the (narrow, twisty) track at Hereford, we're doing a double-bill with the similar track at Evesham. Should be good fun for the un-faired and multitrack riders.
And we've managed to secure exclusive use of the (eyewateringly expensive) Betteshanger Park track for a weekend in September. Not a full World Championships, but we hope that some riders from continental Europe will take the opportunity to come over to enjoy the track, which with its long swooping curves and good sight-lines is well suited to faster machines.

Just finished sorting out the race files for the #BHPC event at #Bath #OddDown cycle circuit on Sunday. In which the weather threatens to be decent, and I will try really hard not to crash the Notso on the horrible bottom corner (and proceed around the hairpin at slightly above walking pace, no doubt).

Unfortunately, the camping pitches have now sold out, and late registrations aren't guaranteed a T-shirt (the order has now gone to the printers).

Juniors (12-16) are half-price, and camping is available on site. Any kind of rider (you don't have to be an athlete) on any kind of human-powered vehicle (as long as it has a brake and no dangerous sharp bits) can take part. Spectators are welcome, free of charge.
