What a great day out!
I slept super well after a long day with Steven including a long drive to get to Mahone Bay on the South Shore, and another long bike ride to Western Shore, a community on the South shore (yes, really), then drive home. Didn't want to get up this morning ha ha!
I was really glad that I took the time to plan and make some great avocado hummus veggie wraps, fruit etc for lunch, as we ate on a bench on the edge of a lovely quiet lake, Commons Lake. It was so peaceful. We only saw one person who was running the trail, and one beautiful deer who crossed out path.

Commons Lake - Dynamite Trail Association
Oakland Common is a 350+ acre land grant from King George III to the residents of Oakland in 1773. This beautiful lake is a fantastic site for birdwatching. As you travel along the trail, you will arrive at the old siding, an access where dynamite was brought by rail from the CIL plant in Montreal...
