Good morning!
For my Friday evening, I was forced to Beyblade (new obsession of the grandson). The lead up:
In the morning, Mr L went to the store with the grandson. (Apparently, they needed to kill time until the pool opened) He called me to ask what we needed. (Good gods, man, I pointed out the list 3 times!) In the background, grandson announces, "Gah is getting me a early Birthday Present!" 🤦‍♀️ It's 2 months away. By the time he turns 8, there's no telling how much will have been spent on "birthday" gifts.
Also, my daughter called me around Noon. Crying, "Can you guys spoil him today?" What?! They always scold us for spoiling him.
Turns out his great grandad died (dad's side). He only saw him a few times but loved him.
So, poor little man is gonna have a rough time with sad news.
So, GiGi sucked it up, let grandson teach me how to "let it rip," and played Beyblade for hours.

Went to Denver Zoo today. Check out the wild animals we encountered! Also, if you look closely, you can see an orangutan! #grandparentLife

The grandson enjoyed his Polar Exploration class.
We let him order a cheeseburger, fries, and fruit punch for lunch.
He enjoyed the huge model train exhibit at the greenhouse. (Although he felt there should have been a gift shop so we could buy him a small train)
A cup of cocoa (with mini marshmallows) was enjoyed.
Sugar cookies are in the oven (made with grandpa). These will have kisses put on them when they come out of the oven. Not the peanut butter ones, because our little guy is allergic, and we do not want to visit ER.
While he's waiting for the cookies, he has started unloading the dishwasher. He just might train-up his grandpa for me, yet! 😉

Being Grandma: I went to retrieve a backup nose clip (for swimming) and found that someone had also stored their Playdough keepsakes and ice cream toys in the same box.

We went out for ice cream to celebrate my granddaughter's straight A's report card. We had good intentions to eat something healthy later on. Looks like it's not happening. None of us is hungry.
