I’m running Axe from the Grave (Keys from the Golden Vault) for my group this week.

What I don’t know is how much to prep for afterwards, since knowing my group they’ll just intimidate their way through in 20 minutes.

Do I find them another quest in Foxden, or send them back to Thornport?

I needed a way to simulate the plots of noble families in the background of my game.

So initial idea is for each family, roll a target for their scheme this season.

Then roll to see if it will positively or negatively affect that target.

Now I just need to decide what those schemes actually are.

But of course now they have questions about other ones.

Used the under city mapping system in Into the Cess and Citadel to make a rough map of the Thornport Sewers.

I really ought to make some nimble stats for some of the monsters found within, but I should be able to improv as needed tonight. Got a slime encounter prepped just in case.

But that’s likely next session. Tonight is probably Snail Fancy heist.

Today's Fading Suns session was close quarters talking for the whole session. Our heroes had jumped into the Holy Terra system, and had to endure a very bureaucratic customs inspection, and then a visit from an Escatonic Artifact Inspector.

For this session I just decided to throw in the characters with some problems into a mess of people making them question every decision and when to lie and when to dress the truth up nicely.

Prep situations, not solutions. Right?
