Recently released Quake Brutalist Jam III has 77 new maps plus new monsters, weapons and more -- it's designed to be played with Ironwail, a fork of GLQuake descendant QuakeSpasm (it also has native Linux support).

You'll need Quake from Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2310/Quake) or GOG (https://www.gog.com/en/game/quake_the_offering) to play these maps, and this Slipseer post (https://www.slipseer.com/index.php?resources/quake-brutalist-jam-iii.549) tells you how to download/install everything.

If you are interested in a visual comparison of Quake source ports, here is one with MS-DOS (software) vs GOG (GlQuake) vs Steam (Enhanced edition) vs Epsilon (which is probably the most flashy version.

Personally I prefer Quakespasm, which makes it run on modern hardware beautifully, while preserves the original - dark - art direction.
