This afternoon I reflowed the two #AMD #FirePro #D300s in my 2013 #Mac #Pro using my hot air reworking station. They still work, which is a good start.

I'm probably going to jinx it, but it's currently 2.5 hrs into stress testing running #glxgears, #glmark2, and #radeontop under #OpenBSD.

My 2013 #Mac #Pro has now been disassembled, cleaned, new thermal paste applied to CPU & both #AMD FirePro D300 GPUs, and re-assembled. It was pretty dusty and some concerning heat patterns on the GPU which has the SSD.

Fortunately, it booted up from #OpenBSD 7.2 -- shows how long it's been waiting for this maintenance! -- without issues. Currently running #radeontop #glxgears and #glmark2 for stress testing.

Interesting that #glmark2 is giving me ~150 FPS on my #qemu emulated #aarch64 virt system. That certainly seems faster than last time I tried this #virtio experiment.
Running #GLmark2 on a @[email protected] Snapdragon 845 based @[email protected] 6MQ running @[email protected] and freedreno Mesa drivers.
Kudos to @[email protected] for the demo @[email protected] meetup.

I ran #GLmark2 on my server as well, which has a much cheaper GPU.

(I have no idea if this means anything to anyone. I'm genuinely happy that the machine booted with the new card.)
