I'm a #BoxingFan & I'm looking forward to seeing #TheFireInside at my local #AMC. Sounds like a movie worth based on this review:

It will be interesting to see how it compares with #GirlFight (2000) and #MillionDollarBaby (2004) two of the best films about female boxers previously made.

'The Fire Inside' review: Boxer Claressa Shields' story

Claressa Shields was only 17 when she went to the 2012 London Olympics and became the first American woman to win gold in boxing. Her story is told “The Fire Inside,” in theaters Wednesday, charting her beginnings growing up poor in Flint, Michigan, through her moment of triumph and beyond. Ryan Destiny plays Shields and Bryan Tyree Henry her coach. But this is not your standard inspirational sports drama, even if it feels like it for the first half of the movie, Associated Press film writer Lindsey Bahr writes in her review. That makes it all the more rewarding. It's rated PG-13.
