An abandoned mortuary building in the grounds of the former Gartloch Hospital in the east of Glasgow. Constructed in the 1890s, this simple, but rather elegant, church-like building was designed in a French Renaissance style by Thomson and Sandilands. The hospital closed in 1996, and while a number of its buildings have been converted into housing, this one has, so far, been left to decay.

Until recently, much of it was derelict and decaying rapidly, despite its A-Listing. However, work is currently underway to bring the remaining buildings back into use as residential properties.
