Steigende #Meeresspiegel bedrohen die Inseln zunehmend. Laut #NASA ist der Meeresspiegel in Tuvalu in den letzten 30 Jahren um fast 15 cm gestiegen und könnte sich bis 2100 mehr als verdoppeln.
