It Looks Like The FBI Straight Up Lied To A Judge To Get Permission To Seize Georgia Voting Records
#Trump has fixated on #FultonCounty a Democratic stronghold & the most populous county in the #state, asserting without evidence that voter fraud there cost him victory in #Georgia in 2020.
An #FBI affidavit presented to a judge to obtain the search warrant says the investigation began with a referral from #KurtOlsen, who advised Trump as he tried to overturn his #2020election loss & now serves as Trump’s “director of election security & integrity” with a mission to investigate Trump’s loss.
#FBI agents arrived at the #elections hub just south of #Atlanta with a search warrant seeking documents related to the #2020election in #FultonCounty, #Georgia including: all ballots, tabulator tapes from the scanners that tally the votes, electronic ballot images created when the ballots were counted & then recounted, & all voter rolls. The county has filed a motion seeking the return of the seized materials.

The NAACP and allied groups are asking a judge to limit how the federal government uses voter data seized in an FBI raid near Atlanta. In a motion filed late Sunday, they asked the judge to bar any use beyond the stated criminal investigation. They also asked for a full inventory of what agents took during the Jan. 28 seizure at the Fulton County elections hub and who has accessed it. FBI agents arrived at the elections warehouse with a warrant seeking 2020 Fulton County election records. The Justice Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.
