SebastianOk, that's the end of the thread. Dropping all the quotes in here is a little incoherent, but covers the book contents quite well.
The one thing missing is the author's constant emphasis that #instagram was quite different from facebook, not only in corporate structure, but also in its goals and metrics. It really strives for beauty and positiveness, while facebook doesnt.
I guess at this point, I have to recommend the book to you guys. ;-) It was fun!
Congress not understanding #facebook 's business model:

Instagram blatantly copied the #snapchat Stories idea, and openly admitted it:

The feature was hugely popular, and relieved some of the pressure for a beautiful life for its users.
