So, da das chinesische Gaming Handheld so garnicht einfach und ergonomisch genug zum unterwegs Arbeiten ist, wage ich nun doch einen Framework 12 mit i5-1334U in Bubblegum zu kaufen. RAM und Storage besorge ich mir selbst, die Aufpreise sind mir leider doch etwas zu exklusiv. 🥹

My Framework Laptop 13 is days away from being shipped. 🥳🥳🥳

I think I should find some proper tech stickers to put on it, because its not a coders laptop of its not covered in stickers, right?

So, where can I get some cool coding/geek/fun stickers from? I've got some D&D ones, so I should have some coding, and some geek. Maybe star trek ones? And they have to be SFW, as it will be out a lot at work (it'll also be my main Emacs machine).

Meet Kiki! My Framework 12 laptop arrived just last week, to replace my aging Thinkpad X250. It's been a really nice laptop so far, and the installation and use has been very smooth. From first impressions I can absolutely recommend it.

I'm running NixOS on it, the same as on my desktop and my previous laptop. I named it "Kiki" because my desktop machine is "Xenia". The laptop has stylus support that I plan to do some doodling with, so naming it after the Krita mascot seemed very fitting!

i'm probably going to get a #frameworklaptop12 and sell my 13 at a good price to my girlfriend so that she can replace her dying laptop. i'm probably going to try #elementaryos on it. i've had issues with it on my 13, the resolution of the display is too high and i could never find a good compromise of settings to compensate for the lack of fractional scaling. the display was too high res and it was messing everything up.

considering that the 12 is running a 1080p display, i believe things will go much more smoothly. i love the idea of running an os who's lead dev is a fellow transfeminine person and who cares so much about queer and disabled people's issues. maybe i'll run back to bazzite, as it has become my standard, but i'm still curious to try it nonetheless.
