I know I describe my non-litigation services as #FractionalGeneralCounsel services, but don’t let that name fool you. Here at #AlysonClaireLaw I also do a lot of work with companies who actually have their own General Counsel, but need specialized, non-full time, or temporary experienced counsel to fill out their current in-house legal team. (Especially when that legal team is a team of one...)

Wondering how that works? Here are some examples:

Amongst my meetings today- one is an event for #owntrail.
That online community has gone through a few iterations since I joined, but I know that without it, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
In their original #trailguides cohort I developed my idea for #fractionalgeneralcounsel work and found the support I needed to take the leap and open up #AlysonClaireLaw. And without other community members I would have never gotten involved with #JusAdAstra and the #spacelaw community.
Community first.

And that's a wrap! Here's a break down of how 2022 was for #AlysonClaireLaw:

Wins:
> We signed 16 new #fractionalgeneralcounsel clients, 8 new #litigation clients, and had several repeat clients.
> We were featured in Business Insider: https://www.businessinsider.com/lawyer-started-own-law-firm-pandemic-2022-2
> We had our first year anniversary! And we incorporated and registered with the State Bar of California.
> Alyson published 4 legal articles, had numerous speaking engagements, and presented in person in Chicago and Paris!

I'm a lawyer who started her own firm during the pandemic

"It's funny, because attorneys are a generally risk-averse group, and I definitely am. But it felt like a now-or-never kind of thing."
