Hi everybody, I'm just posting this to let you know I'm still working on this and haven't given up, notwithstanding I took a couple of weeks off.

Touch up is easy. I just work a few columns at a time and pull off the vertically-oriented tape (see image above).

The squares are 8.5 mm and the tape is 1/64" (0.40 mm) wide.

This painting is composed of 117 columns by 117 rows (13,689 squares).

It will take me another two days to finish this phase of touching up and pulling tape, including the horizontals.

I will then paint a coat of clear acrylic over the surface to lock in the edges of the painted squares. This coating will protect corners from future damage, such as drying out and breaking off, or whatnot.

I will then sand the surface very very lightly, maybe even wet sand it (with like 2000 grit or whatever), sign and date it, accordingly (July 2026, I imagine).

I plan to follow through with a final layer of clear acrylic. These final steps will only take a few of hours, with a lunch in between.
